Condolences
Mr. Jensen was the caretaker at St. James in the 60's when I was in elementary school. Back then he was called the janitor. My sister Diane and I have fond memories of him. He would let us into his big office, which was probable just the furnace room, and let us clean the chalk brushes on the big machine - it was a type of vacuum that had a big roller that you pushed the erasers along. HIs room was so cosy and warm and he was so kind. I am a teacher at St. Joan of Arc and I think of him now and then. I'm glad that you got to have him in your lives for so long.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was very special to me as I started my teaching career.
Mr. J was always willing to talk, listen and help. I have thought of him many times over the years.
I worked with your dad at Saint Philip school for 13 years. We had many wonderful discussions in his custodial office. His wisdom and understanding were always appreciated.
May God bless you all.

To the Jansen family,
Over the years I have thought about your father many times. Having worked with him at St Philip many years ago, he touched my heart. Always ready to chat and share a chuckle. He cherished his family! He was someone that worked hard and I don’t recall him whining about it! Rest in peace Mr J.

Dear Jansen family,
Our sincere condolences. We knew Zegar as a fellow parishioner at St. Anthony’s. Also as a fellow Dutch man. To our grandchildren, he was the man who after mass, would reward them with candies. We could see by his interactions with them, that he would’ve been a favourite in the schools he worked. When he told me he was 96, I told him to go for 100 and he did! A great gentleman gone. Rest in peace Zegar. Lea Cornelesen and family.
Dear Joanne and Jansen Family,
It is with heartfelt condolences that we extend to all of you our sincerest sympathies on the loss of your father, grandfather and friend.
I worked with Zeger (Mr. J) many years ago at St. Philip School and it was always a pleasure to interact with him. He was a kind, thoughtful , humorous, hardworking and a considerate gentleman. May the memories you created with him be treasured forever. He truly loved life and led it in such a positive and wonderful way, appreciating all that the world offered him. He set a wonderful example for many! Sending peace and love to all of you.
