Condolences
We have known David and Lindy since our children were little, and have created lots of happy memories over the years, our funny "costume" parties, exploring the parks and pathways in and around Calgary and Tucson, his not so fun altercation with a cactus, sharing my dubious vegan curries which he said he enjoyed with hoots of his infectious laughter! He loved his cups of tea , always had the kettle boiling for this lovely, smart, kind funny gentle-man. David you are greatly missed ❤️

David remains one of my oldest and dearest friend. I believe we first met ( with Lindy) around 1981, and formed the Leicester Study Group. The three of us went on several adventures to Montana conferences. David and I seemed like old friends from the start and we participated in the study group several times a week, through the eighties. I emigrated to Windsor,On in 1988 and stayed in a friend's apartment there, where subsequently David and Lindy joined me, and I later joined them in Calgary.
David and I always enjoyed jokes and a good laugh together, and above all, Iwill always remember him as such a constant and loyal friend and companion. Until we meet up again "on the other side', our prayers and love are always with you.
I first met David when I was dating my husband Alastair. I very fond memory of David is when I was teaching him and Alastair how to ski at Wintergreen in Brag Creek. They tumbled a lot and laughed so hard! It was very funny and I thought I had landed in a scene of Monty Python! David was always very supportive of Lindy. When we visited in December of last year, I could Cleary see the great love between David and Lindy. It was beautiful to behold!
I will see you up there, David!

I have known Lindy and David and boys for over 30 years. Theirs was a special love that is rare and cemented by both of their wonderful sense of humour which kept David going until he found his peace. David was one of a kind, gentle and wise, warm and funny. He will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
I'm saddened to hear the passing of David, we worked together for 25 years in the maintenance department at Standens, had many discussions on literature and old novel, condolences from the Lockhurst family, RIP
I’m so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I worked with him at Standens for over 20 years. Being an electrician Dave and I worked on troubleshooting many problems together. He was a great friend and work mate. Rest in piece my friend.
I worked with Dave for many years at Standens, he was a great role model and a reliable friend. I was happy to see him retire, and enjoyed catching up with him over the phone the past few years. I will miss his wisdom and kindness.
We visited David, Lindy and the boys twice last year, we will always remember the laughs we had.
David aways laughed at my poor jokes and bad taste.
Like leaving him on peace bridge in Calgary next to a musician with a hat on his lap, waiting for tips
Lots of fond memories with him I’ll always remember.
A kind and thoughtful brother who will be sadly missed.

I will never forget Uncle David's booming laugh followed by his huge smile. I am thankful for his kindness and patience, he was always up for a deep dive of conversation, asking thought provoking questions with genuine interest. The love he and my Aunt Lindy shared was beautiful, true and rare He will be greatly missed!
David has been like a brother to me, as I first met him when I was 8 years old.
He was one of the most honest, trustworthy and decent chaps a girl could wish to know.
It was my pleasure to have known you all these years.
