It is with great sadness to hear of Ken's passing. Although we hadn't known Ken very long it was a real pleasure for the time we had. Carol your are in our thoughts along with your Son and family.

We were so sorry to hear of Ken's passing, He will truly be missed in so many ways. He was a hard working, kind, generous and truly a good . We will miss our visits with him. Carol you and the family our in our thoughts and prayers.
My heartfelt condolences to the Smith family. I truly respected and admired Mr Ken Smith Sr! He could stop me in my tracks and instantly brighten my day with his kind grin!! A mentor, Colleague and friend, RIP Ken!!
Kenny was a railroader that mentored alot of us kids in Alyth back in the 80s. A great man who will be missed, condolences to the Smith family.
Its with sadness hearing of the passing of a great man. Ken worked for me on the night shift for 10 years. Ken was a very good worker and mentor to many a new railroader. In all the years we worked together I never heard one complaint, he was a true gentleman. He was a master at organizing his work and was very efficient. He will be sadly missed and I extend my condolences
to the family , he will not be forgotten as his memories will live on.
Smitty took me under his wing when I hired on he was a brillant railroader his ability to manage a switch list was second to none! All the managers trainers and safety supervisors depended on Ken. My sincere condolences to his family and friends and all the rails that Kenny touched.

Ken was just an all round great man, with an unmatched work ethic and never heard him ever complain. An honour to have known him.

Carol, Kenny, and all of those that loved Ken; so sorry to hear about Ken's passing. He was a true gentleman, very kind, and had a work ethic to be admired. Reading his obituary, I noticed that he and I had the same Birthday. I wish I had known sooner. Treasure the memories. So sorry for your loss.
