Kenneth Smith, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the age of 81 years after a brief battle with cancer.

Ken was born in Calgary, AB, on December 30, 1941.

He married Carol Ann Baroldi in July 1963.

He joined the life as a CP Rail Foreman in 1963, till his retirement in March of 2004. A memorable day, as his life was then filled with the birth of his only granddaughter Ashleigh.

Ken was not a huge talker but when he spoke you listened and respected the conversation. Occasionally you may have laughed at a joke or the word that may have “slipped out”.

Besides his loving wife Carol, Ken is survived by his only son Kenneth Jr. (Kenny) Smith, his daughter-in-law Kirsten Smith and granddaughter Ashleigh. Calgary, AB

Ken is also Survived by his sister Peggy (Deckinder), brother-in-law Doug Deckinder, Rocky Mountain House, AB. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ken was predeceased by his mother Olive, father John Smith, brother-in-law Jim O’Rourke, sister Marilyn (O’Rourke). sister-in-law Marleen (Smith) and brother Bernard (Bernie) Smith.
