Condolences
I am shocked and saddened to hear that Dave is gone. He was warm, funny, encouraging, and insightful. I will miss him terribly. My condolences to his family and friends.
I was terribly saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends. I worked with Dave in the late 90s at Nortel. There was never a dull moment working with him as he was the "life of the party" and everyone has experienced his boisterous, infectious laugh! Many good times were had going for drinks after work and playing softball. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.
My deepest condolences to Joan and the kids. I knew Dave back in the 80’s when we were “studying” the same program at SAIT and a few years later when we were roommates. Dave was always very friendly and fun to be with, as well as being very clever. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
My condolences to Joan and family. I'm so sad to hear of Dave's passing and pray and hope that all the memories bring you comfort in the days forward! He was a wonderful husband and father and you'll always treasure his love for you!
Condolences to the family. We are so sorry for your loss. I attended SAIT with Dave and agree that he had the most infectious laugh and kind heart.
I am so saddened to hear of Dave’s passing! Gord and I have known Dave since the Novatel days and then we were also privileged to work with him at General Dynamics! For many years! Dave was the most positive and outgoing fellow who had an infectious laugh! Being around him always made me feel better. We loved his ability to gather people together for social activities. Our deepest condolences go out to the entire family. He will be sorely missed!

I had the pleasure of working with Dave at General Dynamics and what I remember most about him was his laugh. He had a great laugh! He also was always friendly, and I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. My condolences go out to his family and friends. May Dave rest in peace.
Dave was incredibly outgoing and a fun person to be around. I enjoyed my years working alongside him at GD and always considered him a friend. He will be missed.
My deepest condolences to Joan, Tina, Amy, Liam and the family. Dave really did have the most wonderful smile and laugh.
It's hard to put into words the warmth and laughter David brought into my life. I'll always remember the Saturday mornings we spent fishing stocked ponds, eating cold Kentucky Fried Chicken and listening to Stompin' Tom Conners. In addition to being my uncle, he was true friend and confidant.
Rest in peace, David. You will be sorely missed.
I can't express in words the sadness I have felt with Dave's passing. I always admired his loyalty and devotion to his family and friends and he will be greatly missed by many. He was a true friend that always kept in touch - I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace brother.
Our condolences to Dave and his family. He was a great coworker and friend. I truly enjoyed working with Dave. He always had a positive attitude and was fun to be around. I'll always remember our good times playing on the championship Radishes baseball team.

My deepest condolences to Dave's family
Dave will always be remembered for bringing laughters to people around him, as far as half the globe away, as he surfed through the journey
Rest in peace, Dave
We shared so many great times growing up in “The Miller” family. Bob Miller and family, Harold Miller and family (which is David’s) and Donna and family. We spent all the holidays together. I remember all of us kids sitting together for meals, wearing our silly hats and having so much fun. The family reunions were always hilarious! We continued to get together as a family as time went on and David was always there. He was always laughing and smiling, I can still hear his voice. He will be missed by all of us.
Love you David, may you rest in peace.

I first worked with Dave in 1990 at NovAtel (when he would come down to Lethbridge to do NPI builds) and then again in the last few years at SMART.
Over that time a constant was his commitment to finding solutions to problems, team work, and always having time to share a laugh. The latter, being what I will remember the most.
We’ll all miss you Dave. Rest in peace.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the Miller families. David was my cousin closest in age. I share many wonderful memories of all the carefree fun that we shared growing up. David was a "Genuine" person. Everyone that met David felt that he cared about them, that you were important to him, and that he was a genuine friend. David wanted to lighten life by bringing people laughter and happiness, and he did just that for me.
David, your kind, gentle ways, and your laughter and smile will always be remembered. We know that you are at peace.

How to define David... he was an unbelievable man, father, brother, friend and human being. Family was first, his children meant the world to him. His relationships with his mother and siblings along with his connections with his long standing friends, were key to helping David especially in the last few years. The traits that David had from his father made him the compassionate, enthusiastic, friendly and loving person he was.
He will be missed dearly by our family but I know he is in a good place along side our dad.
Love you David!

Dave will be greatly missed by his collegues and friends at SMART Technologies.
I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Dave for several years and so enjoyed his fun nature.
Dave's humor and wit will be forever remembered and forever missed.
Dave and I started at SED in 1985 together. Together with fellow employees we had a great time doing all kinds of different activities. Dave was an incredibly smart person and a real nice guy. Even though I have not seen Dave in a long time I still have fond memories of him and the times we all spent together. My condolences to the Miller family from Sherri and Reinhold.
I worked with Dave for last 5 years since I joined SMART in 2018. He was not only colleague but also a mentor to me. In last few months I and Dave worked on the same project and were sitting next to each other. What a lively person he was! His presence would always be felt not only by his good work but also by his cheerful laugh and friendly nature! I am going to miss you everyday Dave! RIP.
Dave was always great to chat with, either at work or a social occasion. He really added some character to to any group he was part of, and we will miss him.
My deepest sympathy to Dave’s family. Like Karen, I went to SAIT with Dave in 1982-84. There was a group of us that did most things together. I carpooled with Dave. I was the last person he picked up in the morning on the way to school that first year. He was always so cheerful and a great friend. His laugh is what I will always remember. Rest in peace Dave.
I went to SAIT with Dave way back in 1982-1984. We all were quite close friends back then, got together alot, spent lots of time in the H Block, and we just enjoyed life (as poor students). I lost touch with Dave over the next several years until one day, I heard him "laughing" in the Black Bull Pub. How can you not recognize his laugh, he had such a great laugh, and he laughed ALOT. It was nice to see him every now and then over the years, and I reconnected with some of our other SAIT grads through him.
We had so many good memories, so much fun, so many laughs. I will miss that, I will miss him, he was an awesome guy.
Rest in Peace my friend Dave, you will most certainly be missed by many many people :(

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Dave’s family – he spoke of you often with great pride and fondness. I first met Dave at Nortel, working with him from 1995-98. I then had the pleasure of working with him again at SMART for the past 9 years, most of them as his cubicle neighbor. At work, Dave was valued as a smart, dedicated team player that you could always count on. Dave’s larger than life personality always lit up the room, and he always made time to talk to people and brighten up their days. It has been an honor and pleasure to have him as a friend. Rest in Peace Dave, so glad to have known you – I will miss you dearly.
Deepest sympathies to Dave's family. I met Dave when we worked together at Novatel Wireless. Worked with him again at SMART years later. His brilliant mind made him one of the brightest engineers I ever worked with. His fun personality made him a favorite at the office and social occasions. RIP my friend, you will be deeply missed.
