Dear Nina, Libby and Paul,
Libby informed me of Brian’s death last week and I have been awash in fond memories of him ever since. Brian was a partner at the Thom office in 1975 when I started there as a student intern and we became fast friends. He was a wonderful mentor to me and others, and though he possessed a strong sense of who he was and what mattered in architecture, he managed to pursue his ideas in a very generous and civil manner. Brian was an inspiring team mate and a wonderful leader and friend. My deepest condolences to you at this time.

Dear Nina
Our thoughts and heart are with you during this time. We are so sorry for the passing of Brian.
Working with Brian side by side in numerous interesting and challenging projects gave me the opportunity to appreciate his wisdom and valuable feedback.
Susana and I send you and your family our sincere condolences and sympathies.
Dear Nina and family.
It is with sadness that I read about Brian's passing on the 14th. Carol and I will have fond memories of our visit with you and Brian at your home in Calgary.
For myself, I will never forget the time I spent with Brian working on the hospitality projects in Kelowna, BC. It always come to mind walking past those projects and thinking about the fun we had.
May you and the extended family experience peace and love in these difficult times.
Charl and Carol Johnson
Nina,
I am so incredibly sorry that Brian has passed away. I feel like I got to know him a little by reading his obituary. He sounds like an amazing man and I know you loved him dearly.
Marie
Nina and family, we saw the obituary in this morning’s paper and were terribly shocked and saddened.
What struck us the most was the description of Brian as a “gentleman”. No truer words could have been written.
As a former colleague of Brian’s, I always enjoyed and respected his acumen and sense of fairness. We really gained an appreciation for his shy sense of humor touring Italy with you.
Again, you have our deepest sympathies and trust that you are coping and doing as well as can be hoped.
Garvin & Wendy Campbell
Dear Nina Paul Libby and family,
Deepest condolences. Brian had a profound meaningful impression upon the world. His beautiful legacy lives on in the hearts, and actions of everyone lucky enough to have known him.
Love, Christopher and Jennifer Babits
