Obituary of Thomas Alexander Price

August 18, 1952 – Vancouver, British Columbia

March 21, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

After a brief and brave battle with cancer, we are devastated and heartbroken to announce the passing of Tom, a dedicated and loving husband, Dad and Goong Goong, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the age of 70 years.

With a steadfast commitment to his family, Tom was deeply invested in our lives- our provider, supporter, and companion on many cherished adventures.

He was a passionate and well-respected railroader in his professional years with the Canadian Pacific Railway. In his retirement, Tom gave his time, energy and many talents to the railway community and preservation of its history. He was an enthusiastic volunteer at Heritage and Champion Parks- applying his expertise to maintenance, projects, and visitor education.

A man of great integrity and selflessness, Tom grew many meaningful friendships during his lifetime. Through the sharing of memories and laughter, the quality of these friendships was obvious.

Tom was connected to the natural environment while pursuing forestry and exploring many trails, all over the world. A tree will be planted in memory of Tom at the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area. In lieu of flowers, please get out and enjoy nature, volunteer, and give back to a community you are passionate about.

As per his wishes, there will be no service. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

We greatly miss his good humor, wit, storytelling, and beautiful smile. As Tom would say, "See ya when I see ya!"
