In 1974 when Dave I moved into Pine Ridge and on Pine Grove Close who would have known our lives would change forever. There we were moving in and as l remember as I looked down our street there as big as life was Les and Shirley waving and welcoming us to the neighborhood. We became good friends and as we had our children they also became friends and just us the whole neighborhood became one. We had backyard barbecues, house parties and the great adventure camping to standpoint, and that was a yearly adventure. Les would bring out the boat the kids would water ski and run around the park all night long. Les and Shirley always had fun things for the kids to do. As the kids got older they were off doing there own interests but we were still all close, we were family. We could not imagine living anywhere else, we lived in the hood, on the best block in the city with the most amazing people. Les was not our firefighter but also our mechanic, doctor when we needed him and our party coordinator. He will be so missed by family and friends but not forgotten.
