Obituary of Robert Charles Adie

October 10, 1967 – Toronto, Ontario

March 22, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep sadness and much love that we announce the passing of Robert Adie on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the age of 55 years. Rob was a devoted husband and father who is loved and cherished by all those that came to know him.

Rob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of over 22 years, Nancy, and his daughters, Hannah and Meredith. He considered them to be his most treasured joy and greatest accomplishment. Rob will also be dearly missed by his mother Jacqueline, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maria and Joe, brother, Philip, brothers-in-law, Jeffrey (Tanya) and Justin (Alexandra) and nephews, Michael and Mason. He was predeceased by his father Gerald.

Rob had an ever-loving, kind, gentle, and generous spirit. He enjoyed working with his hands and had a passion for woodworking. Rob was always in pursuit of new projects and eager to lend a helping hand to all those around him. He began his 25+ year career in the HVAC-R industry in Toronto, later moving to Calgary with his family. He was a true industry professional, having served in various roles throughout his career. Rob also had a strong devotion to assisting young technicians in developing their careers.

A Celebration of Rob’s Life will be held at Park Memorial Chapel – McInnis & Holloway Funeral Home (5008 Elbow Dr SW, Calgary, AB T2S 2L5) on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
