Condolences
The sky has another beautiful star, our Aunt Jane, and I expect there’s a roaring good time with her at the centre beyond the rainbow. Her smile was radiant, her laugh was infectious, and she was so cool in stressful moments. Like when her heel got caught in the floor grate walking down the aisle of the quaint chapel where she and Uncle Albert were married, and up north in Dorset, ON when one of her dogs suddenly flew after a squirrel and snapped the leash in half in her hand, she just shook both situations free with a hearty laugh. I’m sure I got my love of gigantic dogs through Uncle Albert and Aunt Jane and the Bouvs. Such a bright light. ☺️
It is difficult to imagine Jane's loss in the family. I first met Jane when I was working at Super Pages and in conversation we realized we were cousins. Long lost cousins from my fathers side of the family. My mother & father divorced many years ago, so we lost all contact with that side of the family. Jane made sure to connect me & my brother Grant with Pinky & family who lived in Balzac raising their family & breeding beautiful Sheep Dogs. We had a wonderful visit at Pinky & Al's place & met all their beautiful children & they came to our home in Calgary for dinner. We unfortunately did not stay in touch but without Jane we would have never known where this part of our family was. Upon meeting Jane I clearly remember a strong & vibrant & beautiful lady & who could ever forget that voice. She was a driving force & it reminded me so much of my fathers side of the family, which really has been passed on to me and my brothers.I am so sad that Janey has passed because I wished we would have stayed connected. I want to send my deepest condolences to the entire family as we will all cherish our fondest memories of Jane. Heaven has gained a new angel but not just an angel but a leader with determination & heart. RIP Janey until we meet again <3
My aunt Joyce Geng in Kitchener let us know of Jane's death. As one of the nieces in the Geng clan, we kids were always mesmerized by our bachelor Uncle Albert who lived such an independent, fun life. When he announced he was getting married, we all knew his fiancee had to be someone pretty damn special. And she was! I didn't know Jane as well as I could have - she joined the fam when I was becoming an independent teen. But I well-remember their beautiful home, their beautiful dogs, and especially Ab and Jane's beautiful love and appreciation for each other. Their time together was way too short, as was Jane's time on this earth. But she made a lasting impression with her fantastic personality, gigantic smile, and warm and open heart. I picture her and Uncle Albert walking happy trails together with all their beloved dogs. I will remember her well!
