Condolences
Sincere condolences to Bill's family. I fondly remember him as a 415 Squadron mate in Summerside in the early 60's and a surprise drop in I made to Bill and Mary when they were living in Halifax/Dartmouth. Bill now has joined Mary in everlasting peace.
I hope to attend Bill's final interment in St. Paul's, Summerside to say my last farewell to Bill and Mary.
My sincerest condolences to Tara and Allison and their families. Bill was a terrific friend and we met during training in 1961. We lived close to each other in Summerside and Comox and would get together often with our wives. Mary was a real sweetheart and the perfect match for Bill. The world just became a lot sadder with his passing.
I am sending condolences to family and friends. I new Bill from the quarterly get togethers we would do in Calgary of long range patrol aviators. He was kind, and always thoughtful.
I would like to express my condolences to Tara and Allison especially, as well as all family members. My memories go back to the sixties when living in Summerside. Long time friends of Mary and Bill and very fond memories of Tara and Allison. Visited them in Calgary and lost touch. I am now living in Victoria , BC .Bill was a very kind and gentle person.
My family extends deepest condolences to Tara, Allison families and the Moir's. Bill was an important person in our
lives and we spent many happy times with him and Mary. I even met them in Alaska where they were cruising. Of course,
the countless times visiting their home for wonderful celebrations such as Christmas are remembered with fondness, affection and love. Bill and Mary were the most wonderful hosts!
Bill was a true friend who helped me get through 40 rounds of radiation when I contracted cancer. He put me up in his Master
Bedroom and cleared the closet for my things. Every day Bill would take me to hospital for radiation ...always an hour or two early.
Bill left nothing to chance! The highlight of those hospital visits for Bill was the Tea service which he loved and we would joke about who would be serving that day. I am still here, with great assistance from Bill!
Kimberly, Nicole and I have wonderful memories of our shared experiences with Bill, Mary, Tara and Allison plus Winston and Winnie.
We all will miss Bill so much. He did not care for technology but we were frequent email pals. Usually, the topic was the sorry state of world affairs. He had his opinions and they were very succinct and to the point.
I and my family will miss him dearly.
Sincere condolences, Paul, Kimberly and Nicole.
We are so sorry for your loss, Tara and Allison.
Dad, Nicole and I have many fond memories of Uncle Bill- such as riding in his Bronco, and all of the meals that he and Aunt Mary would cook for us (uncle Bill made great scrambled eggs :D) I remember when I was 18, living in Calgary all alone in the dorms at SAIT, Aunt Mary and Uncle Bill would pick me up on the weekends so that I could sleep over and be around family, and we would watch movies and eat snacks. Such wonderful memories that I will always cherish. Uncle Bill will be very missed, and remembered with fondness.
Sending all of our love to you and your families,
Kimberly (Driscoll) Vilaykham and family
