Our fondest memories of Shirley where the Christmas Eves with tourtiere pie and the guests and laughter at the table. A close second were all the birthday celebrations at the Highwood Diner at SAIT. Again, lots of new people, old friends, and laughs all around. We will miss her zest for life, her kindness, and her faithful dedication.
May she be blessed by God, and rest in peace.

Shirley was a beautiful person who personified Christ's presence wherever she went. She may be gone from us but she is most surely now in the presence of Jesus her Saviour.
So very sad to hear about your mom. Shirley was the most kindest thoughtful person you could meet. She will be truly missed and it was a blessing to have known her. ❤️
My deepest condolences to Greg, Karen (Wade) and Christine. Your Mom was one of a kind, she was all the things that make a person special. She always made the other person be the focus, always kind always thoughtful. Every family has that one person who is that strong core of the family and there is no doubt that was your Mom. I’ve known your Mom since I was 5 years old and always considered her my “Mom” I know things are very difficult right now but have comfort that she is up in heaven with your Dad. God Bless
I am truly blessed to have known Shirley for over 40 years. I don't think you will ever find a nicer, more wonderful person with the great strength and determination Shirley possessed. Rest in Peace my friend!
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. Heaven gained a truly special Angel!

What to say about a woman you referred to as Mom #2...Shirley was always so thoughtful, kind and three steps ahead of everyone. I have so many happy memories of her but I'll share just this one.
It was a tough day when my moms funeral service was at Holy Name a few years ago. Much sadness and grief was in my heart as we chatted with friends and family in the vestibule before the service. In the midst of all this, I see this small, mighty person dart by me on a mission. I do a double take, excuse myself from the people I was speaking with and go to find my husband Terry, tout suite. Long story short, there was Shirley getting ready to participate in the service for my mom. The little part of me that was keeping it together, lost it. A floodgate of emotion overtook me as I realized my #2 Mom was there, helping me through one of life's toughest transitions.
That was Shirley, always showing up when you needed someone the most❤️ Our hearts and prayers are with her and the entire family. We are so sad we cannot attend the service in person but we will be watching via the live stream.
Y'all better be behaving cause you know she's watching and you can be SURE, she's got the big guys ear up there.
Much love to you always Shirley.
Shirley was a true Beauty inside and out. My sister Shelagh and I looked forward to seeing her every Saturday night at 5 o’clock mass. It was the highlight of my week. We also worked on the Garden together and she came when Fr Gill blessed my home. She will be dearly missed by the entire Holy Name Parish.
On a cheerier note she is reunited with her beloved Gord. We will definitely be in attendance at the prayers and funeral service.
Sincere condolences to the Kelly Family

My mother’s maiden name was Kelly
What a beautiful soul, Worked with Gord at CFCN for many years and met SHIRLEY at their home over what GORD would call cowboy coffee with another colleague,, we always had many laughs and stories over the years. We saw the Kelly’s many times at HOLY NAME CHURCH as I would take my mother Geneva Rose to Saturday church. Shirley and myself would stay connected having many luncheons and masses done for both Gord and Geneva, making it a competition to see who could book first for the following year. Thank you SHIRLEY for all your time and wonderful conversations.
