Obituary of Shirley Ann Kelly

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Kelly. Shirley passed peacefully into the arms of the Heavenly Father after a lengthy battle with cancer on Monday, March 27, 2023. 

Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband Gordon Kelly in 2009. Shirley was a kind, generous and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a devoted member of her congregation. 

Shirley will be dearly missed by her children, Christine Kelly (Gordon Hargrath), Greg Kelly (Janice Barnes-Kelly) and Karen Smith (Timothy Wade Smith); her grandchildren, Glenn Kelly (Trasel Almarinez), Graeme Kelly (Chloe Kelly), Riah Kelly (David Rempel); and her two great-grandchildren, Adahlia Kelly, and Huxley Kelly. Shirley will also be missed by her siblings, Clarence Geyer, Allan Geyer, and Doris Pocha.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 – 34th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Shirley’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
