Obituary of Gordon Archie Forbes

September 10, 1940 – Regina, Saskatchewan

It is with deep sadness that the family of Gordon Archie Forbes announce his passing on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the age of 82 years in Calgary, AB.

Gordon was born in Regina, SK on September 10, 1940. He married his wife Margaret Miller of 60 years on September 1, 1962. They moved first to Edmonton, AB, and then to Calgary in 1967.

Gordon was a beloved husband, father, uncle, brother and grandfather. Following in his father's footsteps, he became a chartered professional accountant with what would become Ernst and Young and retired as a Senior Partner. Gordon was an avid golfer and was a member at Willow Park Golf and Country Club. While a member, he was involved with, and played in the Willow Park Charity Golf Classic for many years.

Gordon is survived by his wife Margaret, his son John Michael (Kristine), his daughter Robin (Lee), his brothers Larry and Robert; his sister Lorna; and his granddaughters, Ashleigh and Alena. He was predeceased by his parents Ian and Marjorie.

No service will be held, by the request of Gordon.  We, the family, would ask of all to keep his memory alive in your thoughts, hearts, and prayers.
