Joan Hudson was a mentor to me in many ways - professionally, politically and personally. We had many great discussions about everything from world affairs to gardening to sharing recipes. She was astute, a great communicator and a good friend.

She will reside in my tapestry of life as I feel blessed to have crossed paths with her.
