Condolences
"Hi it’s Noel Kamel, Andrew Kamel’s oldest brother. I do recall the care this man gave to my brother. During the select teams he played on. He was a great man will be missed on this earth. Wish there were more Mr.Hills here."
Mike was a close friend of my father, Shane. My dad always held Mike in high regard and I know it was one of his dearest friendships. Among the many great memories from my youth of Mike and his family, I remember BBQs at their home and summers on the west coast following the Southern Alberta Selects hockey teams through their tournaments. Mike was always welcoming, kind and generous. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing and my condolences go to Heather, Catie, Tyler and the rest of Mike's family.
I met and interacted with Mike through hockey related activities in years now somehow long gone by but still vividly and fondly remembered.
I will always remember Mike, at his essence, as a very caring and generous person. Mike unselfishly devoted countless hours to coaching and encouraging young people to develop to their full potential in sport and as people. Mike’s gifts to young athletes especially of his time, encouragement and caring have positively affected many lives. May you rest in peace, Mike.
Deepest condolences to Mike’s family.
Denis Hickey and family
Mike was a terrific human being. He was instrumental in our son’s life and hockey career. He was a straight-shooter and cared so much for his players. He taught them many life lessons. Condolences to his family. Rest in peace.
I was so sad to hear of Mike's passing. We grew up together in Regina, played a lot of football and baseball all through elementary and high school and always had each other's backs. I might have even introduced him to Susan but memories fade....Rest in peace old friend - you were one of the good ones. Larry Wilson
We had a hell of a team at Graf, lead by a great leader.
Rest in peace.

Mike Hill, my friend and a man who I greatly admired.
Mike was a prince of a man, a leader, a mentor and a highly principled, caring guy.
I lost contact with Mike when I moved from Calgary. It saddens me that I let our friendship drift.
My condolences to Mike’s family.
