Condolences
Thanks for the memories Luke. I've been reflecting a lot since your passing. You were a great loyal friend growing up and I feel blessed to have had you in my life. What a loss for your friends and family. You will be missed.
Luke, I will miss the conversations we had, and the laughs we shared when I would check out which “stylin” shoes you were wearing this visit! Condolences to all of Luke’s family, he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Luke, RIP and thank you for your service.
Nancy and John and family, our hearts are breaking for you. The world clearly lost a hero. Our deepest sympathy.
John, Nancy Westerveld and family
Our thoughts are with you all and pray for the Lord's blessing now and always.

Luke was one of the steadiest, most dependable men I've had the honour of knowing or serving with.
I first met Luke in PPCLI battle school in Shilo, summer of 2009. Besides being one of the hardest working people I knew, he never once hesitated to volunteer for a duty, share what he had with a comrade or do anything he could to help out. He was a man who would truly give you the shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed by all and everyone who knew him.
Rest In Peace, brother.
No winter without a spring
And beyond the dark horizon
Our hearts will once more sing ….
For those who leave us for a while
Have only gone away
Out of a restless, care worn world
Into a brighter day

Thinking of your family at this time and praying for you all.

I started working in the Base Orderly room at CFB Suffield in 2014 / 2015 ish where I first met Luke. Although interactions at the time were small, he was always so pleasant to deal with. He had an extreme thirst for knowledge and was always telling me about the courses he was working on, whether it was one we were sending him on with the CAF, or learning he was doing on his own. You would always see him around the base, taking photos for public relations / teaching first aid. In many other opportunities outside of the day to day workings of the CAF, I would run into him as the friendly photographer at local races ETC. He is the only person who made me smile for a photo while running a 10km race. Condolences to all who knew and loved Luke. He will continue to live on in the memories and stories shared by all.
My husband and I were part of Luke and Jane's Bible study group from Parallel Church in Lethbridge. Luke also volunteer with me at the Mission Store in Lethbridge. God blessed us with Luke's friendship and we will miss Luke very much. He was a wonderful friend and we enjoyed many great times with him.
May God be with you and fill you with His peace.
