Carrie has always been recognized as a light that would brighten any room she walked into. She was a fiercely loyal friend and mother who would frequently put others before herself. She always had a welcoming, joyful and comforting presence that attracted many loved ones throughout her life.

Carrie earned many accolades in her career for her dedication and can-do attitude. Her nickname was the ‘Energizer Bunny,’ named after her energetic disposition and always being willing to take on a challenge.

Carrie enjoyed travelling with friends and family, a couple of her last excursions included Honduras and southern European destinations, such as Croatia and Prague.

She enjoyed Skiing, playing Pickleball, getting together with her friends to go dance to live music, one of her favorite local bands, Steve MacQueen, would always recognize her in the crowd.

Her favorite bands include U2, The Tragically Hip, The Goo Goo Dolls and Sarah McLaughlin. She enjoyed reading books from authors like Brené Brown and Gabrielle Bernstein and painting ‘paint-by-number’ canvas’ gifted from her daughter.

She enjoyed fitness and accomplished goals like climbing Mt. Norquay in Banff and the Bow building in downtown Calgary, which was 57 floors and 1204 stairs high for the Climb for Wilderness. As soon as she put her mind to committing to something, she did it and usually greatly excelled in it.

One of Carrie’s favorite quotes was ‘Never let your fear decide your fate’. She believed in the law of attraction and manifestation, what you put out you will receive. She always strived to bring positivity into any situation or hard time she was going through.

Carrie is survived by her daughter Sarah Rempel, her parents, Patricia and Leo DeMille, her sister Cindy Kettle and her many friends.

“Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road

Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go

So make the best of this test, and don't ask why

It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time

It's something unpredictable

But in the end, it's right

I hope you had the time of your life”
