Bob and his wife Karen were great friends of my wife and I. Since 2016 we went out almost every week hiking in the summer or snowshoeing in the winter. We also went hiking in Scotland on a 160 km long distance hike through some of the most majestic scenery.
He always had friends or made new ones everywhere he went. When we were passing through Dublin he Ben found some friends from Calgary to meet for a meal.
As usual with Bob we had stimulating conversations on our drives to and from the mountains. He did run out of topics eventually after fours hours when we were stuck on the highway.
Bob was a great friend to me during our years working together at Taliamsn and after I retired and we did all poor activities together.
Bob we will miss you tremendously. Ian
We would like to wish our deepest condolences to Karen and family. We had the privilege of knowing Bob for many years as a family. Bob was always a kind and positive person to be around. We will miss having you over for coffee with bean. Milo will miss you very much, he was very fond of you and was always over the moon to be able to go on walks with you and bean. Forever thankful for everything you did.
You are in our thoughts,
The Keskic Family
Bob, or Robert, as I knew him at Talisman, was friendly, down-to-earth, and amazingly positive. In retirement he organized a ski group and we went to Mount Norquay on Fridays from January to March every year. Bob played a game where at the top of the lift each skier took a turn at selecting the route down, really a bit of a joke because the choices were limited especially for the first and last runs. Then on the way up, Bob would pose a question for discussion on the chair lift, challenging us to articulate views on investing, politics or world events. I once tried to talk about something different as we boarded the lift but he informed me (in jest, of course) that we weren't finished with the previous topic. And he was a good skier, too, accompanying anyone who wanted to take on the moguls of the steeper slopes!
Bob, we will miss you dearly.
Carol
