Condolences
Rose was one of the first people to welcome us to Marlborough Park. The garden in her front yard attracted my son's attention immediately, and he loves the windmill in the front yard. That led to us having some lovely conversations, and Rose sharing stories about her own son growing up and going to the same park that my family goes to all the time, down the street.
We will miss seeing her when we walk down the street, or hearing her call from the yard to see if it was is coming down the street. My condolences to everyone who loved her.
Rose Mary was a classmate of mine. One of my favourite memories of Rose was going to her house in town for lunch ( I lived on a farm). She made instant chicken noodle soup and poured a little boiling water into the package to "get all the goodness". I was so impressed by her culinary skills! Years later, whenever I made instant soup for myself, I always followed Rose Mary's method.
Rose Mary and I spent a lot of time together in our younger years. She was my Algebra tutor as she made 98% in algebra just as easily as it is to eat candy. We worked on our home-ec sewing projects together and she became just as good a cook as Aunty Mary. I spent a fair amount of time at their place in Yellow Creek and was so fortunate to be able to eat the terrific Hungarian meals that Aunty Mary made. Life sometimes just doesn't seem fair since she is much too young to have been chosen by God to make her way to Heaven. Condolences to Tina, Tyler and your families, to Margaret, Emma, Doris, Steve, Bernice, Nandor, Gloria and all your families. I'm sure there will be a lot of memories left behind by Rose Mary. Rest forever in peace, Rose Mary.
My condolences to you Tina and Tyler and family. I remember back in the day when you and Chris and Courtney would be playing together and your Mom and I would be doing a Christmas craft to sell and give as Xmas gifts to family. Your Mom and Dad were great neighbors and your Mom was a good friend to me. We always had a project on the go. Good memories. Connie Lee
Growing up Rose Mary lived next door to our place in Yellow Creek along with her mom and dad and siblings. By the time they moved by our house it was Rose and Gloria but I got to know the whole Kun family. I learned how to eat the hottest peppers, roll cigarettes by the dozens and watch Mrs. Kun make her famous strudel and halushka. This would often be followed by a glass of Mr. Kun's wine which was sour as hell or the sweeter wine Mrs. Kun made. Rose became like a sister to me and because she dated my brother Ron she was always making sure that I could tag along. We made many memories at her sister Emmas place in St. Brieux. Often when Rose looked after the place when they went on holidays she would ask me to go along and after much pleading with my mom I was able to go. I was Rose and Al's bridesmaid when they got married and have very found memories of both of them. Sorry for the families loss and to you Tina and Tyler. I met you when mom would bring the trailer to Saskatoon and park it and visit friends she had not seen in a long time. My husband Ed also went to school with Rose Mary so he also has many school memories. She was special, kind and you were lucky to have her as a mom and Al as a dad. It is hard to lose parents especially when they leave this world at such a young age. Just know we are thinking of you along with my brother Ron. Thank you for sending us the note that she had passed. May her memory be eternal. Evelyn Wojcichowsky (nee Lypchuk - Yellow Creek)
