Obituary of Robert Blair Killen

Robert Blair Killen passed away peacefully May 26, 2023, at the age of 85.

While there is much sadness in the loss of our brother, uncle, cousin, or friend, we are blessed to remember our good memories of Blair. He was a naturally sweet person who had a heart of gold and touched many with his kindness. He was a proud man and loved nature with all its beauty.

Blair was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and spent his early days on the family farm. Those early days grounded him in his love of nature. At age 8, the family moved to Edmonton where he continued to shine in his love of the outdoors and made many lifelong friends. Blair's life journey took him to Yukon, Denver, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton.

He was preceded in death by his father Tom Killen and mother Betty Killen.

He is survived by siblings: Ted Killen; Marilynne (Doran) McMullin; Marg (Ron) Loehr; Mike Killen; and lots of family.

To honor Blair, the family is holding a celebration of life at the Ted Killen cabin at Gull Lake on Sept 30, 2023, from 12:00PM to 4:00PM. We invite anyone who knew Blair to attend or pass on your memories to share. Contact family for further details.
