Obituary of Chris Anton Manderscheid
July 12, 1971 – Humboldt, Saskatchewan
May 27, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta
Chris Manderscheid, beloved husband to Glenna & father of two, passed away on May 27, 2023, at the age of 51.
Chris was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on July 12, 1971. He then moved to Calgary, AB, with his wife Glenna in 1991. They were married on September 28, 1996. Following their marriage came two beautiful children, Dylan & Mackenzie. Chris spent many of his years in Calgary in the food & restaurant industry; where he started simple and worked himself into success. Throughout his time, he had many opportunities to travel, for which he was thoroughly grateful to experience. His most cherished opportunities included Hong Kong, the Philippines, & Hawaii. He later found himself in the landscaping business, allowing him to work outdoors, bringing him joy. When Chris was not working, he spent his time on the family acreage doing a variety of different projects, attending auctions with friends, and his passion for food was well known.
In addition to his wife Glenna and children, Chris is also survived by his mother Frances, and his siblings Yvonne (Bruce), Lavinia, Alan (Cindy) and Charlie. he also has a niece, and three nephews. Chris was predeceased by his father Louis Manderscheid and mother-in-law Lilian Tameling.
Chris will be remembered fondly through all our memories & the great love his family holds for him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Saskatoon Farm (80181 338 Ave E, Foothills County), on Wednesday July 12, from 3:00 p.m-6:00 p.m. as a come and go venue. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
