I have many fond memories of Jean and Scottie visiting my family in Nova Scotia when I was growing up. They would make the long trip to N.S. to visit relatives and to do genealogy research, which I could never understand as a teenager. As the years passed, I realize the importance of remembering those who came before you and Jean and Scottie played a role in that. In recent years, I would enjoy speaking with them both about our family history. Every time I spoke with Jean, it was as if I was speaking with my Mother or Grandmother. I spoke with her just recently and she sounded so happy. I was always amazed at her ability to text me. I will miss our chats.
