Dear Mike and family, my heartfelt condolences. To say the least I was shocked to hear of Carmel's passing. So hard to put into words my deep feelings We had always planned to meet up again one day soon. We chatted on messenger on and of over the years. Keeping in touch when we could. Its almost fiftythree years since my family moved from Newfoundland to Ontario but I still have many wonderful memories of my childhood friend Carmel and her Mom and Dad and siblings. To her sisters Molly, AnnMarie and brother Wayne please accept my sincere condolences as well. Carmel had told me of her plans of going home again this August and as it turned out I am going back this August as well. We came so close to finally meeting again.I know that we will diffinitely meet again on the other side. May God Bless all of you and give you strength to carry on. Sending condolences to the entire family. Carm was such a kind soul who always made you smile when you spoke to her. She will be dearly missed by everyone. Rest in peace sweet Carm. Xo
I met Carm in 1974 when we were both just kids working at Canadian Tire. We instantly hit it off and we became best friends. I introduced her to my husband's best friend Mike. She was my Maid of Honor and I was hers. She was always her true self and everyone who ever met her would come away with a smile and fond memory. Often times in our life we wished that Carm and Mike lived closer but if your lucky in life, you get to be near your children and grandchildren and that's where our lives took us. There were many times over the years when we didn't see one another but when we got together it was like we were never apart. One of my fondest memories of the two of us was about 15 years ago more or less. We hadn't seen each other for a few years and we were giddy with excitement, right away we started doing shooters and within 15 minutes we were both loaded. The next day we were both sick as dogs. She was the sister I always wanted and I wished I could have spent more time with her. I did tell her I loved her the last time we talked and she said she loved me. I am grateful for that. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend that anyone could ever ask for and her loss will be felt enormously. Till we meet again my dear friend.
Sending our dearest condolences to your family. Carm was a wonderful woman with a huge heart and never ending amount of generosity and love for her family. She will always be remembered fondly. May her memory keep her close in your hearts.
Hugs
Aunty Sharon and Uncle Daviid
Carm, you are one of the most inspiring people I've ever met. Every time we spoke, you radiated joy and zest, even in the worst of times. I feel so honoured to have known you, and to have had the privilege of watching the way you love your family and the world. You taught so much about life to everyone you crossed, even in the merest of minutes. I'll bet wherever you are now, you are spreading light and inspiring kindness still.
Mike, Amy, Alexa and Coby plus all other family of Carmel.
I met Carmel when Amy and Mike started dating and instantly loved her. She was full of life and love to hand out aplenty and made sure to always do so.
I had many deep conversations with her and always took her wisdom and it allowed me to gather courage for any obsticle life would throw at me.
I will miss her deeply and hold her and all of you in my heart.
