Obituary of Alethea Chow

Alethea Chow, beloved wife of Andrew Ko, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the age of 72 years.

Alethea was born in Hong Kong, China on December 4, 1950. She immigrated to Winnipeg Canada in 1970. She moved to Calgary, Canada in 1982. Alethea graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. In August 1980 she married Andrew Ko. Alethea’s most memorable vacation was when she had her honeymoon in Vancouver, BC.

Besides her loving husband, Alethea is survived by her three nephews and niece, Louise, Luther, and Pauline as well as her three grandnephews, Angelo, Christiano, and Miguel. Alethea is also survived by her two sisters, Mai Mui Chow and Millie Lee.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery (3157 Erlton St SW, Calgary, AB T2S 2V7).  Family and friends who are unable to attend the service in person are invited to join Mrs. Chow’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
