Condolences
It is with deep sadness to hear of John's passing. My condolences to the entire family and friends. I worked with John many years in IT at The City of Calgary and I have many great memories.
One great memory was when the family went to England leaving John to "batch solo" for a couple weeks. I made him a calendar with all the food services I could think of with their business phone numbers... Monday KFC, Tuesday was Swiss Chalet,... Friday was The Keg and then I added "Dial a bottle" so he could enjoy a beverage, and a maid service the day before everyone was due back. John had a good chuckle and it kept us laughing daily over that period.
We feel so lucky that we got to know John. Thinking of your family with love and heartfelt sympathy. Jeanette & Paolo Nannelli
John was a lovely man i worked in IT at the City and John would bring our cheques around and have a visit he was a gentleman and a happy man. He will be missed. Marg Post
I am saddened to hear this news. John was such a nice guy. I didn't work closely with him, but I always enjoyed chatting with him.
He always had a smile on his face, and I enjoyed his sense of humour. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace, John.
He was being friendly and approachable.
Always remember click cluck sounds comes from the heel of his boots and puffing on his pipe.
May the memories of John help his family to find peace and comfort.

My heart and prayers are with John's relatives at this difficult time. John Macey is among the kindest and greatest persons I have been lucky enough to meet in my life ever. John is not on earth anymore but we know he's enjoying his time in the Land of God.
With sincere sympathy,
Dungkim Pham (from Calgary)
I knew John through his work in IT at the City. I didn't work closely with John, but always enjoyed him. He was indeed a "cowboy". So sad that he's gone, but absolutely not forgotten. My sympathies to his family and all who loved him.
