Condolences
Sheila, I would like to share a memory with you. I have always remembered the trip to Vernon. You and Bill invited Rick and me to the cabin in Vernon . I brought in a station wagon that Bill was buying from dad to get to and from work. Well the trip into the city (which I did not drive much to) was a challenge in itself. When we arrived at your house. Bill came out to greet us, and he wanted me to drive the car around back and into the garage. I guess the look on my face made him realize that driving it to Calgary had been nerve racking for me. He said ok come on and he went to drive it himself. I told him he would have to put his foot on the break and then on on the gas and when he put it in drive release his foot on the brake. He laughed so hard at how the car was running and almost put the car through their garage. Of course he hit the break the car stalled out and it did stop. He had Rick and I laughing as hard as he was over the whole thing. Once we were in there car and on the to. Vernon every time he saw a car on the side of the road he would kid me and say that must be a cord vehicle because that is what FORD stood for (Found On Road Dead). He was always kidding us because we drove fords. His sense of humour was contagious and we enjoyed the trip and time in Vernon. Thank you Bill and Sheila for sure a great memory that has stayed with me all these years and will continue.
Sheila, that was the most beautiful funeral I’ve ever been to. Katrina and I will always treasure our last visit with Bill and you at Christmas! He will be missed! I’m so sorry I couldn’t make it up to Canada right now! We love you Sheila! We’ll miss Bill! But we will see him again! Gods timing! Love Fae and Katrina.
Sheila…..
I was so sorry to hear of your loss, please know that you are in my thoughts at this difficult time….
