I had known Wally for over 60 years before he passed away recently. We were very good friends all that time. He and I were employed by the same Chartered Accounting (“CA”) firm (known today as PricewaterhouseCoopers - “PWC”). Back in the late 1950s we were “articled” students (sort of like apprentices). Such time combined 5 years of University of Manitoba education where we graduated as CAs and did our on the job training during that same time. I left Canada to work in the USA in the early 1960s. Wally and I stayed in touch while he was in Canada (Manitoba & Alberta) and I was in the USA (California & the State of Washington). We had a lot of memorable times together over those years. I’ll miss him dearly as a good friend.
