Condolences
Greta had a lovely spirit, and seemed to always be singing with her heart to the Lord. Her joy was contagious.
Sister Greta is a genuine Jesus-lover. She loves the Lord, the church, and the saints so much. She loves signing hymns with praises and thanks to the Lord which has encouraged and inspired me greatly until these days. She steadfastly practices interceding prayers for the saints by mentioning their names before the Lord one by one according to the church phone list. One time she asked me to print a church phone list with a much bigger letter font for her so that she can see saint's names clearly to pray for them. To me, sister Greta truly is a pattern of overcoming believer in Christ to follow. I thank and praise the Lord for her portion to the Body of Christ and will miss her dearly.
I have warm memories of Greta. When I first met her, I was touched by her profound love for the Lord. She was indeed a believer who truly walked in the Lord and with the Lord. Greta has a shepherding heart – always ready to listen, laugh, and cry with others. She comforted whoever came to her. I was one of the many recipients of her tender and loving care. She was like a mother to me.
Greta was also a person of prayer. Her faithfulness to pray touched me and laid the groundwork for my prayer life. She tirelessly prayed for many people including her own family. Greta has the most beautiful voice. When she sang hymns, it always brings out the essence of the words. Greta can also dance. I recall when we visited Greta in Grey Nun Hospital after her prolonged stay there, she jumped up with joy and danced as soon as she saw us entering her room. She really knows how to warm other people’s hearts.
Greta’s knowledge of the Scripture was exemplary and was the foundation of her living. She was someone who love God’s speaking in the Word. She grasped every opportunity to speak the truth and share the Christ she experienced. Greta has touched so many lives including mine.
Greta always spoke fondly of her son Sean and her grandchildren, Valerie, and Zachary. She loves them dearly. To her family, please accept my heartfelt sympathy. Although she may be gone in the flesh, she will live on eternally with our Heavenly Father.
I am really gutted about being so far to be there for the funeral of my beloved aunt who always lovingly looked after and cared for me since I was born. She was the last of 14 brothers and sister born in the Philippines to ass away and I feel an immense and incommensurable void now that words cannot describe yet I am thankful for all the ❤️ love she gave me and our family. I so wish that somehow she can join my mother in heaven and look after us.
With immense affection I love ❤️ dear Greta and your example of kindness and loving will always be with me until the day I die.
I miss you so much and have always thought of you even if in the the last couple of years since the pandemic I haven’t called you but you will always live forever in my heat!
Love
Gigi
I'll always remember Greta laughing and dancing. It was always fun Sean when you would do something silly to annoy her and she'd take the bait and admonish you and then we'd all laugh. She was so loving to Valerie and Zachary and took such good care of them when they were little and she would watch them. She was the kindest and gentlest soul I've ever met. May she rest in peace with her Jesus
