Gestures
I have warm memories of Greta. When I first met her, I was touched by her profound love for the Lord. She was indeed a believer who truly walked in the Lord and with the Lord. Greta has a shepherding heart – always ready to listen, laugh, and cry with others. She comforted whoever came to her. I was one of the many recipients of her tender and loving care. She was like a mother to me.
Greta was also a person of prayer. Her faithfulness to pray touched me and laid the groundwork for my prayer life. She tirelessly prayed for many people including her own family. Greta has the most beautiful voice. When she sang hymns, it always brings out the essence of the words. Greta can also dance. I recall when we visited Greta in Grey Nun Hospital after her prolonged stay there, she jumped up with joy and danced as soon as she saw us entering her room. She really knows how to warm other people’s hearts.
Greta’s knowledge of the Scripture was exemplary and was the foundation of her living. She was someone who love God’s speaking in the Word. She grasped every opportunity to speak the truth and share the Christ she experienced. Greta has touched so many lives including mine.
Greta always spoke fondly of her son Sean and her grandchildren, Valerie, and Zachary. She loves them dearly. To her family, please accept my heartfelt sympathy. Although she may be gone in the flesh, she will live on eternally with our Heavenly Father.
