Obituary of Linda Susan Pugh Preston

July 9, 1953 – East Kilbride, Scotland

July 10, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

 

Linda Preston passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the age of 70 years. Linda was born in East Kilbride, Scotland on July 9, 1953. She immigrated to Canada in 1962.

 

The Highland Welcome

Linda enjoyed Scuba Diving, sewing, interior design, Scottish Country dancing, and walking her dogs. Most of all, she loved being with people.

 

Linda’s favourite saying was “You’re born, you live, you die.”

She will be most remembered for living out her favourite saying with a sense of adventure, gregarious personality, an energetic zest for life, and unapologetic approach to life.

 

Linda is survived by her one daughter Christine Roberts of St. Catharines, ON, two sons Christopher Roberts of Port Colborne, ON, Michael (Christina) Roberts of Calgary, AB; Linda is survived by her two granddaughters Ella Roberts, and Kaitlyn Roberts of Calgary, AB. Linda is also survived by long time life partner, and friend Geoff Barker of Port Colborne, ON, and her two brothers Wilson Preston, and Scott Preston; niece Anyah Preston of Oregon, USA, nephew Mack Preston of Michigan, USA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Linda was predeceased by parents Margaret and Peter Preston

 

There will be a Celebration of Linda’s life held in St. Catharines, ON, on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Club La Salle, (111 Arthur St, St. Catharines, ON L2M 1H8) from 5:00PM - 11:00PM.   Please email mroberts@calgarycoop.com for RSVP and event details.
