Nothing Gold Can Stay
By: Robert Frost
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
I am thankful to have known you and your family-and to continue being part of the clan through my children Michael and Keith. Through your culinary examples I now know what a tomato aspic is, an ambrosia salad and surprisingly enough that you can make a pistachio flavoured bundt cake! You have demonstrated a life well travelled and lived. God bless you Eloise.

Goodbye to my sweet grandma.
Grace Eloise Scotland
I loved your pink nail polish today. It was your favorite color.
I will always remember our visits fondly. The girls will miss the way you spoiled them each time with treats and you always made sure they had chocolate milk. Brad will miss the impromptu handyman requests, your rum cake and for loving him as one of your own. Brad can attest that I get some of my food presentation ways and hosting practices from you.
I will miss your stories and having sandwiches and tea with dainty spoons. The warmth of your smile and your hugs. I can still hear the gentle hum of your clock and feel the warmth of the sun beaming through the windows with your stained glass window clings and the rainbows that danced on the walls from them.
Give a hug to grandpa for me.

For Grandma--
The Star-
A light went out on Earth for me the day we said goodbye,
And on that day a star was born, the brightest in the sky,
Reaching through the darkness, with its rays of purest white,
Lighting up the heavens as it once lit up my life,
With beams of love to heal the broken heart you left behind,
Where always in my memory
your lovely star will shine.
An Irish Blessing-
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

Dear Mom/Grandma,
We will forever love and miss you Mom.
Thank you for all that you have done for us over the years, but most of all for giving me life.
Because of you l have two beautiful children in Stephen and Nicole. They went on to marry my wonderful daughter-in-law Alexa and son-in-law Tyler. I now have three beautiful grandchildren in Dario, Aria, and Henry; all because of you, our family matriarch. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been raising five children and l thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have left behind many lineal descendants Mom, what an amazing legacy indeed!
Rest in Peace now alongside Dad/Grandpa, who has patiently been waiting for you at Heaven's door for many years.
We will cherish our fond memories Mom and forever hold you in our hearts.
Love Rosanne, Stephen, Nicole, Alexa, Tyler, Dario, Aria and wee Henry. xoxox
A Poem:
Grandma:
My dear beloved Grandma received her angel wings; and all of heaven began to rejoice and sing.
For she has joined them way up high, to begin her new journey as she watches from the sky.
A proud and confident woman with a smile on her face, always poised with elegance no wonder her name was grace.
A family she raised with her husband by her side; Jack was his name sweet, humble and kind.
She traveled the world from here to there, but her favorite place to be was in her home fair and square.
She loved to visit, smile and chat... maybe over tea a cookie or a snack!
She stayed up to speed on current events, ask her about curling, sports she knew all the special moments!
She loved to celebrate life and occasions, never forgetting special days or without sipping on a libation.
Today I remember my sweet Grandma, one who would give me a kiss and a tight hug, keeping me by her side warm and snug.
Her heart was full with just a simple phone call, never to complain even when she was in a deep lull.
Grandma was tough witty and smart she didn't leave Earth without making her mark!
Grandma was loved, adored and will never be forgotten. Our dear caring Mother, Grandmother family, friend and matriarch.
As she rests peacefully, we all sit in solitude and reflect what you mean to thee. ..
You will always be missed, forever and always. Now, rest in peace and live freely.
We love you Grandma.
Love Nicole xo
We will miss you, Grandma. I am glad you are now at peace in Heaven alongside Grandpa. You were forever the apple of his eye and it brings me great comfort to know you’re now reunited. You were a strong, wonderful and beautiful woman. We have so many cherished memories which we’ll never forget. You were very loved. Rest in eternal peace my beautiful grandmother. Until we meet again. With love - Stephen, Alexa, Dario and Aria
