Condolences
As a fellow Engineered Air retiree, I was fortunate to experience so many good times with Steve at various company events over the years, as well as occasionally working together on common projects by phone. Steve's personality combing a calm demeanor with intellect, maturity, great sense of humor while caring for those around him was truly honorable. He will be sorely missed.
My condolences to his family.
All I can say , what amazing human being, talk about down to earth guy, very caring, understanding, smart and funny. Always pleasant to be around him.
My deepest sympathies to Ingrid and family

I am sad to hear of Steve’s passing. Although we did not have much contact after high school, every time we did meet he was the same kind, generous and funny person I knew. My deepest condolences to the family for their loss. My apologies for not being able to attend. Patrick O’Connell

It was indeed a great honor to call Steve my brother in law. Whether it was sharing fun times on the golf course or just being at their house in Saskatoon - he was such a great
guy to be around. Ingrid , Chris and Courtney my thought and prayers are with you. Love Mike

I was a childhood friend of Steve and am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I have so many wonderful memories of Steve, his mother and father (Ali and Lodge) and his siblings (Kelly, Terry and John). Even as a young boy, Steve had a magnetic personality that peers and adults alike gravitated toward. He was great fun to be with and he had many mad passions, including horror movies, pets (Kool Kat Kuz, Lorne the rabbit), and Johnny Cash, before Johnny Cash was cool! And he was bold; not one to let “the rules” stand in his way. I remember when the box office attendant at the Roxy Theatre told eleven-year-old Steve he was too young to buy an admission ticket into see the horror movies he just snuck in to see the movies instead – week after week!
I did not keep in touch with Steve after high school, but would hear his news from time to time. My condolences to Ingrid, the love of his life and wife, and their children, Courtney and Christopher.
Sorry for the loss of your brother, John and family. Deepest sympathies
We have had the privilege to call Steve a friend for many years. We were so excited when Steve and Ingrid relocated to Mississauga and settled less than 10 minutes away. We will remember Steve as a kind, gentle man with a great capacity for joy. He was easy to be around and had a wonderful sense of humour. He embraced life to the fullest and loved his family beyond measure. To say that he was well rounded would be an understatement. He was as comfortable in the theatre as he was in the ball park, enjoyed a good horror flick as much as a docu-drama. He loved birds and animals, reading, golf and travel. There wasn't much you couldn't discuss with Steve. We'll cherish the memories of all the good conversations and laughs across the dinner table. Oh, and he gave the best and warmest hugs. Steve, you left us too soon. Rest in Peace sweet, gentle soul. We will miss you so much!
We will always remember the lovely young couple who made such a handsome couple and had a such great sense of humour, both of them. Family was so important to them, both their own and their extended families. We are so sorry that your life was shorter than anticipated but we know it was a good one. Our sympathies and hugs to the family, to Ingie, Courtney and Christopher. We hope to see you all again sometime in the future; know that we are thinking of you in this time of grief and extending our very best wishes. Steve was a lovely man and he will be missed. Love The Lapointes - Frances and Patrick.
I have had the privilege of knowing this wonderful man for many years as a co-worker at Engineered Air. Altough it was mostly over the phone for business or exchanging updates about grandchildren , in person when he worked in Calgary or his many visits to head office over the years- it was always such a treat to see Steve - one of my favorite people. .
My deepest sympathies to Ingrid and family.. A great guy who will be forever missed.

Although Steve was not a blood relative he was a brother of the heart. His kindness and compassion for others was shown with genuine warmth. We had an amazing holiday with them to Mexico and it is one of our fondest memories. Gone too soon from his beautiful Ingrid , children and grandchildren. He was so happy for them and took such joy in all their accomplishments. He was a quietly joyful person with an amazing wit. I will hold his memory precious. Condolences to all his family. You were blessed to have the best. We will miss you always.
