Condolences
Dear Margaret and family, a memory that warms my heart is meeting John on his e bike on Apollo and having great visits. I think he stopped to chat so that I could catch my breath. I remember John as being kind and caring. He will be missed.

I first met John at the gym 20 years ago. We worked out at the same time (mid day) and so we saw each other often. We quickly developed a friendship and in June of 2007 we started working together on a detailed financial plan for him and Margaret. My wife (who also works out at the gym) was there when John collapsed in 2010 and we thought he was gone, but their efforts and his strong constitution dictated otherwise. He was around for another 13 years and lived those years with grace and dignity. . Over the next 16 years John and Margaret and I met often and laughed together always. We went through all the ups and downs of the world of investing and through it all John never complained or was ever upset. We battled together against Revenue Canada (and won). We were on the same side and that was good!
He was a calm man and a class act all the way. His love of family and friends was obvious and I am truly blessed to have been a small part of a great man's life.
I will say a prayer and send positive thoughts to Margaret and the rest of John's family.
He was a really good man and a great person. I will miss him.
