August 21, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Margaret Hovany (nee Dudas), of Hungary, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the age of 93 years. Margaret was born in Pronaytalva, Hungary on May 12, 1930. She married Laszlo Hovany, and they later moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Margaret had a passion for art; she loves painting, drawing, sewing, and designing. She loved her family relatives back in Hungary and was very caring and thoughtful towards them.

She was a very religious person. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) at St. Luke’s Church and wanted to help the church as much as possible. She liked putting on religious TV channels and preferred to be alone at home and pray the rest of the day. She will be most remembered for her prayerful life and a close relationship with God.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Laszlo Hovany, her four brothers, and her two sisters. Margaret is survived by her four nephews and nieces, and their families.
