Condolences
I just learned of Lorne’s passing. My deepest condolences to all of his family. Lorne was famous at United Van Lunes during his career. A wonderful driver and operator who was loyal, hard working, professional and caring. I remember his Duck dolly. Pretty amazing! He was one of the men who built United into the success it became through his commitment to serving our customers. Always a gentleman! Anne Martin
Wow a true legend in the movin business and a 100 percent gentleman my condolences to the family
I am so saddened to hear the loss of my dear friend, Jodi's Dad. My Dad passed in 2014, and Lorne was so much like my Dad that I really enjoyed our visits with him when I took Jodi to see him! RIP Lorne...we will always think of you..especially when do a Timmy's run!! ❤️

Dear Gail, Karen and Lynn, we were so saddened to hear of the loss of your father. Uncle Lorne was one of the good guys, so sweet and soft spoken, and always smiling and had a great sense of humour. I recall one story from my Mom (Grace), riding with Lorne in his truck to Ottawa to visit family, and they had to enter a truck scale because he was carrying a load. He said, "Quick, how much do you weigh? I have to record it on the paperwork." Of course my Mom answered in a panic, and told him how much she weighed! Lorne got that twinkle in his eyes and started to laugh. I don't think she ever let him forget that, and I heard he also played the same trick on my aunt Iola, and got her too! I have great childhood memories with our cousins spending Christmases together. Uncle Lorne will be missed. I will cherish the memories. Our condolences to Jackie and family as well.

It was with great sadness to hear of Uncle Lornes passing. Any time he was in Toronto Lorne would visit his sister Grace. Mom would loan Lorne her car so he could run errands while his truck was being loaded or serviced. He would usually come for dinner which gave us time to catch up on family news and reminisce about growing up on the farm at Carlton Place near Ottawa. Many good stories came out of those dinner conversations. I will always remember uncle Lornes soft spoken gentle nature.
Our thoughts are with Gail, Lynn and Karen at this difficult time.
