Condolences
My heart is broken, for Mary and the Family. I'm devastated to hear, and am still in shock. Chuck and Mary became good friends over the past few years, by chance we met, through installation services. We grew together as always talking about sports and his favourite, The Flames A True gentleman and friend that i will miss dearly., he always had some projects for me to do, They both got to meet my children Angel and Justin, To his girls, your dad was a fun loving man who you should all be proud of. Always showed love and respect to everyone that he has met.. RIP Chuck, I'll miss our chats of the Flames seasons.. fail or prevail. God bless you all
Just heard about this today. I was thinking about my uncle only a week or so ago.. I looked up to him a great deal. As a kid, some of my best memories were visiting Uncle Chuck and Aunt Janet. When I grew older, Chuck and my Dad would go to the Legion and I was often with them. Days at the landfill, when Chuck was the scale operator there. I remember when i was a teenager and I was so proud that my friends knew about Critters Pet Gallery lol. Uncle Chuck encouraged me to play guitar and lent me his Takamine guitar for a few months. I still play guitar to this day in great part to his encouragement. I always assumed I would see him again the next time I went to Alberta, but that day never came. To me, he was the patriarch of the Watch family. He was very well read.. he could talk about a great variety of subjects and I always found him both interesting and at times intimidating. He was a hard man to fool lol. Damn.. I'll miss him a lot. Time just flies so fast.. I'll never forget him and the countless memories of him during my youth. Uncle Chuck I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye. I'm sorry we didn't play one last game of pool or exchange in another battle of wits. I loved you a lot, and I'm absolutely gutted that you're gone. My condolences to Mikki and Tracy and Aunt Janet.
Sending my deepest sympathies to my girls, Tracy Anne & Mikki-Lynne & their families. . Although our life didn't work together, I have very fond memories in the 23 years of our marriage with our girls & familes that I will cherish forever. You will be missed. R.I.P. Chuck.
Hugs cousin Mary. I'm so sry for your loss. Thinking of you and all family.. may you all be granted strength. Rest easy Charles
Sending love and condolences to my cousin Mary. So very sorry for your loss..condolences to all the family.
Chuck and I were best friends from about 1960.WHERE YOU FOUND ONE THE OTHER WAS THERE. One time in Winnipeg we were having a sneaky smoke when his Mom returned early In about 3 seconds we had dispersed the smoke and cleared the evidence.
We were both Corporals in the militia and were scheduled to be oversees at the cadet camp in Clear Lake. We had a night off and went into the nearby 10 miles townsite. After having too much fun we missed the ONLY transport so began walking This area is inhabited by many bears Luckily for us, a sole and likely only vehicle picked us up and took us home.. Same place but rented a row boat and made it to center of lake. Very quiet and peaceful. I was rowing of course. Anyway Chuck suddenly piped up and said Hey Alan, he never called me that, as my nick name is Twig. I nearly jumped overboard as I thought he was out of his mind.
Chuck was my best man at Louise and my wedding. He and Mary were driving from Calgary only 2 days before the big day and I get a call from him, sorry Twig can't make it, the engine blew in Kamloops. Oh well that nearly put me over the edge and amid much gnashing of teeth. Then came another call . April Fools. Thanks Buddy !@@#$
We were a little nasties in high school. In English class we would interrupt the teacher to say Hey Chuck, I don't think that's a word . Chuck would of course reply no I DONT THINK SO AND WAIT FOR THE TEACH TO EXPLODE!! MIss you my friend. .TWIG
Mary, my deepest condolences to you and Charles' family. He was a very special man and I know he'll be missed by all. All my love, Linda
