My brain is frazzled - in the 42 years I've known this remarkable lady - we've shared so many many parallel life events. She went above and beyond in everything she did. She did my daughter's first hair cut, prom, wedding - and I fully expected her to beat this dreaded disease and do my grandson's first haircut. She was so strong, had a beautiful soul and a smile to match. She'd light up my darkest days when I saw her. I wanted to share a picture of her 60th birthday that we attended, but cannot seem to find them... such a wonderful night that was .. so am sharing the wonderful memory of her literally playing with my daughter's hair to come up with something she'd like for her wedding day. That's what I mean by above & beyond.
To all of Alda's family - my deepest and most sincere condolences. Her passing will leave an immense void that I hope you can fill with the monumental amounts of wonderful memories you shared. Many of those she shared with us, her clients/friends. She has left a little bit of her spirit in each and every one of us. I will never forget her.
