Condolences
I was very shocked and saddened to learn John suddenly passed away recently.
My heartfelt condolences to Eileen, Chelsea and Graham.
I played soccer (footy) with John - good player!
The best times were the banter between us. John a Chelsea fan and me a Liverpool fan.
You”ll Never Walk Alone mate.

Best memory with John was riding motorcycles to Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea play (1976). Was always a joy to be with. RIP old buddy.
I had the pleasure and privilege to meet John and his parents in May of 1981, at their residence in London. I was traveling over there with the Henson family. John and I hit it off really good, right off the bat. He then nicknamed me Frenchie and every time we met again, he'd say " hey Frenchie, how are you doin' mate? John was quite the character, always full of energy, enthusiasm and positivity. He always lit up the room when he was around.
Eileen, Chelsea and Graham, please accept my deepest condolences in this very difficult time. He may be gone, but will always be remembered for being a great human being!
Sincerely, Simon Gingras

One of favourite memories of Fish came shortly after I was I informally accepted as a member of the “Lads Club”. He was wearing his “crombie” coat and looking rather dashing actually…Fish shook my hand and called me a “chap”!. I’ve never forgotten that.
Fish was class act and exceptional gentleman. I’ll miss you lad.

Eileen, Chelsea and Graham, sincere apologies for not being available and condolences. I’m in Scotland visiting family. I’ll be sure to watch the Service on line. John was a good friend to all of us at Lads Club and gave his time in support of Calgary Soccer. He’ll be sadly missed.
John and I bonded as cousins, yet we were friends; and the most beautiful discovery is that we all can grow separately, without ever growing apart....
And for Eileen, Chelsea and Graham our sincere condolences and those beautiful memories of how John "LIVED His Life".
If John lived with Encouragement, we learnt to be Confident.
If John lived with Praise, we learnt to Appreciate.
If John lived with Approval, we learnt to like Ourselves.
If John lived with Acceptance, we learnt to find Love in this World.
If John lived with Recognition, we learnt to have a Goal.
If John lived with Sharing, we learnt to be Generous.
If John lived with Honesty and Fairness, we learnt what Truth and Justice are.
If John lived with Security, we learnt to have Faith in Ourselves and ALL those that are Around Us.
We will miss you, John

My sincere condolences to Eileen, Chelsea and Graham. John was an amazing person and coach. He was such a positive influence on me starting from the Classics to many tournaments, I always loved what he had to say. The fundraising parties we had for the world masters tournaments were so fun and we especially enjoyed dancing with John, who was a great dancer! The idea of donating to kidsport is brilliant and could not be more fitting. Love to the Fishers-Maddie
