Condolences
Kent, you touched my life in a calm assertive manner that influenced me more than words can express. I looked up to you and felt safe when you were around. I hope you have found peace. Cory
A man of good character. How well that captures who Kent was to me. Every conversation I had with Kent left me feeling solidly grounded in life and choices and all with a dose of laughter.
I can’t help but remember all the good times and laughs we had when Kent and Connie lived in Ottawa. We did a lot together and Kent was always generous and kind. He was a lovely host when we visited in Calgary and we always enjoyed seeing him on his visits to Ottawa. He is no longer suffering and at peace. Gone but not forgotten.

Kent, I will miss our lunches to talk about old times and get updates on old friends. RIP
Deepest condolences to your family on Kent's passing. Such a kind & caring man. I worked with him prior to his retirement. He was always good for conversation and had funny one liners. The funniest was one day has he turned the corner and saw me and asked "Are you Chinooking?" That has always stuck with me as a great saying, which lightened the moment. Saddened and deeply missed.
I will miss Kent dearly. He was like a grandfather to me and I will always cherish the time I got to spend with him. I will miss his smile and laugh, and all the amazing stories he would tell. My condolences to his wife and son. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
Connie and Daniel, we send our condolences to you on losing Kent. We have such wonderful memories of you and Kent through the years in Calgary. He was always such a gentleman …so kind and generous and always had a good word for everyone. We send our love to you and Daniel.
I am so sad to hear of Kent's sudden passing. I remember him as a warm, generous man with a great love of music. When my son, Paul, was a young teenager with a growing interest in music Kent very kindly gave him a bunch of "Blues Sampler" CD's which introduced him to many blues musicians he wouldn't otherwise have discoveed. That thoughtful gesture has been appreciated over the years more than Kent could have imagined. Connie and Daniel, I am so very sorry for your loss.
With a very broken heart I'm thinking of Kent and our long friendship we've had since the late 60's when Connie and I worked together; hence I met Kent. We've had many good times together full of fun and laughter, and when Kent and Connie moved to Calgary we always stayed in touch. Kent always had a joke or story to tell, and always shared with me his love for Daniel, what he was doing, and how proud he was of his Son. Kent (aka Thumper) LOVED the egg rolls at the Golden Palace in Ottawa. Whenever Connie returned to Ottawa for a visit she always placed an order of "cooked, but cold" egg rolls to take home to Kent. You have left us way too soon my friend, and my heart goes out to Connie and Daniel. Thanks for the good times Kent, and may you Rest In Peace my friend; you'll never be forgotten. With love, Beverly York
My condolences to you Connie and Daniel. I have special memories of Kent barbecuing fillet mignon on Christmas Eve for us in Ottawa. It was my first experience of what a great steak should taste like and I have measured every steak I have been served or cooked to that standard ever since, much to the chagrin of many cooks! Kent had such an infectious laugh and is the only person I have known whose eyes truly twinkled. I am sorry for your loss.
I am so saddened to hear of Kent’s passing. I recall so many good times filled with laughter and shenanigans. Kent was a kind friend, loving husband and proud father. He loved nothing more than to hang with friends and share a libation. He was also fond of the mountains and loved his life in Calgary. Few men worked harder than Kent. To Connie and Daniel my heartfelt.condolences.
