Kent Cronsberry

Obituary of Kent A. Cronsberry

March 26, 1947 – Ottawa, Ontario

October 3, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Kent A. Cronsberry passed away suddenly on October 3, 2023 in Calgary at the age of 76.  Daniel and Connie are devastated and heartbroken by his unexpected passing. He was predeceased by parents Alex and Flora Cronsberry of Ottawa, Ontario, who later retired in Victoria, British Columbia.

Kent was born in Ottawa, Ontario. He attended Notre Dame College in Wilcox, Saskatchewan and later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ottawa. He moved to Calgary, Alberta in the 70's with his wife Connie. Calgary was their home for over 45 years, and this is where they raised their son Daniel, attending many soccer and hockey games in their community over the years.

Kent began his business career in Ottawa as a Loan Manager in banking.  After the move to Calgary, he thrived in a successful career in land development and real estate in the Calgary area, as well as in British Columbia. He was an admitted audiophile who thoroughly enjoyed going through his CD music collection after he retired.

He was known by his many friends in Calgary and Ottawa as "Thumper".  Over the years he stayed in touch with his pals from his Notre Dame days in Wilcox, an experience that created lasting bonds.  As the Hounds like to say: Life at Notre Dame built character!

Kent was a man of good character. He will forever be in the hearts of his family and friends. Any memorial donations would be greatly appreciated and may be made directly to the charity of your choice, or to Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, P.O.
