Nancy and Helga, it is with great sadness that we offer our condolences to you both. Mike could brighten any day with his positive disposition, generosity and kindness. And being the consummate salesman, he always had a good joke or story to share.
Mike cheerfully performed his culinary magic with and for the Popovich family numerous times over the years at the Waip.
We are so grateful for those memories, and many others shared with your family over the years.
You’re missed already Mike.

Mr Mike
Thank you for always being a real human being, genuine and opened eared. Ive known you long enough to say that ill miss you dearly. Reasons for this is as follows. Your funny, easy going, see all things beutiful in nature and will likely miss most that big barrel of a laugh. Bit to early to leave us my friend but you wont be forgotten. Hello Nancy and family.
I am very sad to hear of Mike's passing. In all the decades of my association with Mike I never heard a negative thought pass through his lips. His many years of volunteering for many organizations will be greatly missed. His unselfish giving of his time for many causes was very admirable. I count him as one of my favorite people in the food industry, always honorable and always fair. People such as Mike are a rarity and the world is a better place because of him. He has left us at too young an age. Be strong and know that he was loved by many and respected greatly. I can't say enough of his positive influence and good nature.

Dear Nancy and Family,
It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, especially when that person touched so many people in their lives. Mike was that person. Always having an inquisitive mind, we would often share hours of ideas, and stories of travel and culinary journeys together. However, his illuminating smile, infectious laughter, and kind demeanor will remain dear to my heart, forever. Our sincere condolences to you and the family. His SPIRIT will always remain with us!
Mike lived his life with kindness, sincere jovialness and a love of culinary, natural, and artistic delights. We shared many sumputous meals, wines, skis, hikes and spirited discussions with he and Nancy that filll us with gratitude for their neighbourliness and generosity. When the world seems so adrift Mike's legacy reminds us that simple kindness, a willingness to stop and chat or lend a hand is what really matters. We will miss him.

Dear Helga & Nancy
It is with great sadness that we learned of Mike’s recent passing. We want to extend our heartfelt sympathies to you both. Mike always brightened our day when we came across him and Ruby & Cabo randomly in the Back 40. Whether he was walking with friends, riding his bike or cross-country skiing he always took the time to stop and have a short visit. He had a genuine smile that reached his eyes and an infectious laugh. Mike will be missed by the community. We send thoughts, prayers and condolences.

Nancy... I am heartbroken to hear this dreadful news. Mike was such a fun loving soul, and I was very honored to know him. My thoughts are with you at this time. Julie
Dear Nancy and Helga, we are thinking a lot of you and we are so sad that Mike passed away so suddenly. It must be very difficult for you but we are sure that you have lots of support at least. Even though we cannot be there in the Ghost Valley, we are with you in our thoughts and wish you comfort and solace, and also strength which you have lots of. We feel very lucky that we knew Mike well as a good and active community neighbour and also as a supplier of excellent cheeses. We very much enjoyed our times with Mike and you, his humour warmth and openness. And we consider ourselves luck that we had a couple of really good meals with Mike more recently, and we'll remember Mike with great fondness and a smile.
Nancy, Helga and family,
I’m heartbroken for your loss and hoping you find peace during this trying time.
Mike was fiercely passionate about family, food and Forests, in no particular order! Mike's ever-present smile and friendly personality gained him many long-time friends and colleagues. Mike and Nancy's strong work ethic allowed them to travel on an epic road trip adventure to Costa Rica! Mike and Nancy created their dream home in the village of Waiparous, nestled among the trees and trails which was one of his creations and passions!
Mikes's handiwork, presence and footsteps will endure forever on the Waiparous landscape…
Sending you peaceful and loving vibes Nancy…

Dear Nancy , so sad to hear of Mikes passing. As we all know Mike loved life and in particular his passion for the food iindustry in which he gave so much of himself for so many years. Mike loved to be in front of a crowd and share his knowledge of all things food. from Fresh meats to Cheese and fine wines.
I knew Mike within the food industry for many years before he came to be a part of my company for some 10 years during which time he imparted some of of his welath of knowledge upon me. We had many adventures and a lot of laughes for which i have many fond memories.
Nancy , nothing any of us can say will fill the void that Mikes passing has created in your life but take solice in the fact that he lived life to the full and that you where such a very big part in his full life.
Many Condolences .
Tony, Susan and Ashley James
