Condolences
I was saddened to recently learn of Myrna's passing and my deepest condolences to Myrna's family. I recall Myrna as a friendly, full of life girl when she was in my grade 8 class. I had moved from Edmonton to St. Albert a year or so earlier and certainly didn't feel like I was fitting in at all but she welcomed me as a friend and through her I made a number of new friends. I would always be grateful for her extending me a warm welcome and being one of the first to make me feel like I could fit in.
We stayed friendly through school and enjoyed getting together. I laughed when I read about her losing her belongings and hiding them in funny places as I recall memories similar to that. When she got excited she would walk sideways and almost be buzzing! I and others enjoyed her singing and guitar playing. Whenever I hear "Gloria" by Van Morrison and especially "Love is all around" by the Troggs I can clearly see her and it makes me smile. She did love music.
As happens in life we went on our own paths and the last time I visited her was at a 20 year high school reunion. Thanks for the warm memories Myrna.
My deepest sympathy to Myrna s family. So sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed.
I worked and sat beside Myrna from the opening of South Calgary Health Centre in 2004 for about 10 yrs or so until her retirement. It was a sad day for me! We talked about everything. She was a very dear friend. She would contact me two or three times a year after her leaving. . She would always leave me a lovely message. She was always very caring. She loved and cared about her parents, children, grandchildren, siblings and extended family.
You are now pain free. Rest In Peace my dear friend.
My deepest condolences, I met Myrna when I started work at the South Calgary Urgent Care. She stood up for me when I got married in 2015. What a loving women and friend . RIP my friend.
Tammy Wilhite and family
Our deepest condolences go out to Clinton, Veronica, Jaylynn, Kurtis and Gramma. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Aunty Myrna. While our adult lives took us on different paths and we didn't see each other very often, the memories of our time together as a child growing up will forever hold a special place in my heart. I will always remember Aunty Myrna for the sincere interest she always showed in my life, family, and well being. Over the years there were times out of the blue where I would receive a heartwarming letter, email or text message from her which I will always cherish.
May she rest in peace, and her memory bring comfort to all those who knew her.
Love Marnee, Chris, Marcus and Maia
