Obituary of Myrna Lynn Reid

Myrna Reid of Calgary, AB, passed away at the Hanna Health Centre in Hanna, AB on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the age of 67 years.

Myrna was born in Chilliwack, BC and attended St. Albert High School. She graduated with a Medical Transcriptionist Certificate from Fort St. John. Myrna was employed with Alberta Health Services as a Unit Clerk. She was passionate about music and played guitar was a part of a choir.

Myrna was the beloved ex-wife of Ronald Earl Miller and mother of Clinton Earl Miller and Veronica Lynn Patricia Miller. She was also the grandmother of Ella Ray Miller (passed away June 16, 2023), Jaylynn Rosalee Miller (recently became Mrs. Jaylynn MacDonald July 31, 2023, married Brendon) and Kurtis Gage James Van Wezel. She was the daughter of James and Patricia Reid and sister of Donny Reid, Jimmy Reid, Debbie Kelly, and Theresa Reid.

Myrna will be most remembered for her sense of humour and her love for her family. losing her belongings and hiding them in places like her oven mitt. She enjoyed memorable vacations such Disneyland with her daughter Veronica, granddaughter Jaylynn and grandson Kurtis, and another to Maztlan with Brian, Veronica, Jaylynn and Kurtis.

As Myrna was a very private person, to respect her wishes a private viewing will be held. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Myrna’s family here.
