Condolences
Don contributed immensely to the successful ministries at First Lutheran Church in the Strathcona area of Calgary. He became our office and general manager; allowing myself and other staff focus on their various callings. The church grew immensely with his partnership; with many coming to faith in Jesus. Thank you Don for faithfully serving the Lord amongst us. - Pastor Remo Madsen.
I am very sad to hear the news of Don’s passing. I had the privilege of seing the blossoming love between him and Carolyn at a trip in Israel in 2014. We shared many laughs.
Ann and I miss Don. He was a cheerful, patient, conscientious colleague, friend and volunteer in the churches we attended. He brought technical skills, and when he didn’t have them, he learned and applied them, especially in the church governance, administrative, sound and video systems. We extend our deepest condolences to Carolyn, Alex, Emily, Tristen and Lauren on losing a remarkable man.
My deepest condolences on the loss of Don....found him to be a very kind and gentle man. My interaction with him as a co-worker
a decade ago was always pleasant. Don had a great sense of humor, always very respectful and nice interact with and be around.
Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Their memories remain in our heart...
He will be remembered for the great person he was and sorely missed.
My heartfelt sympathy to your family,
Ruth O. Brown

Dear Emily,
I remember your fathers kindness and his ferrying is around to all of our activities! Like skating at the Olympic oval and between our other friends in grade 4. I am so sorry to hear that he left you so soon and I am sending you love.

Dear Carolyn and Morrison family,
We are so shocked and saddened to hear about Don’s passing. He was a nice friend to have met and known when we first moved into Dreamview village. I love how he had a nice prayer to share before we started our monthly clubhouse dinner. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. E will be missed in the village. Blessings, Arna and Lea Cornelesen
The day I met Don is one of the most important days of my life, because I was welcomed into one of the most beautiful and loving families. We went for bottomless mimosas at a local restaurant, I was so nervous and worried he wouldn’t approve of me. After a few hours of great conversation and the help of a few mimosas I think he really warmed up to me. I only had the privilege of knowing Don for 4 short years, but I’m happy that I was able to make some great memories with him. I couldn’t have asked for a better father in law and I will miss him dearly.
Carolyn, Alex, Emily and Lauren
I am so saddened with the news of Don’s passing. He was such a kind, thoughtful, genuine, loving, intellectual and faith filled person. I will certainly miss his presence when I visit Calgary, as well as my treat from Mary Brown’s and some technology learning! Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn his loss. Keep your precious memories close at heart. They will see you through the tough times. God bless.
Judy Parsons,
Carolyn’s sister
