Celebration of Life
Condolences
Thank you for sharing the beautiful tribute for your dad. I have very fond memories of him. The last being the reunion and a few phone calls after that.He was a special person as was your mom.

I first met Ernie in 1969 when he taught us interrogation, or as he put it, "interviewing" in our rookie class.
He was always very down to earth, a great instructor and he had a great sense of humour. He was the kind of policeman I endeavoured to be.
I sure liked him and it was obvious he was well liked by others for his kindness and his skills to get a job done right.
My condolences are sincerely offered to the family for a wonderful man who will be thought of for many years to come and who will be missed!
We were so very sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. We lived next door to him on Edgeland Close . He was always so kind and generous to us and we shall keep him in our memories.

My family grew up down the street from the Reimer family in Brentwood. Our relationships between our families was closely intertwined throughout the decades. Ernie was an icon and was admired universally. No matter his station in life, his core personality never changed. He was always interested in talking with people of all sorts and always remained respectful and kind. It is a rare human being who can achieve great things and still travel in any social circle and be admired. We are very sorry to hear of Ernie’s passing.
Sharron (Pasternak) and husband Don Snider.
I had the pleasure of working for Ernie back in the day, 1987/1988. Admired his demeanour, moral compass and most of all his sense of humour. Compassionate, honest, and protective of the CPS, the ultimate professional. Whenever I see my “silver fox” 1988 Olympic pin, I am reminded of how much he spoke lovingly of his family and friends.
To the Reimer family I send my heartfelt condolences, and pray you all find peace and comfort in your memories.

My sincere condolences to all of the family on Ernie’s passing.
Ernie and Adele have been a very close friends for nearly 30 years since he became Chief of the Regina Police Service. Ernie was my mentor in a big way and Adele to my wife Kathleen. We traveled together and stayed in each others homes on several occasions after he retired from Regina. I have many memories of our times together.
I became Regina’s Police Chief on Ernie’s retirement. His mentorship was in large part why I became Chief. I remember clearly all that he taught me by his example and confidence. His experience and wisdom I sought when I had questions, Ernie’s wisdom was always welcomed and a source of encouragement. I treasured our friendship.
I’m presently out of country and can not attend Ernie’s Celebration of Life Service but his memory will remain with me.
