Condolences
Bruce was the best example of a life long learner. During his time working with us, he progressed through many different roles and contributed in many different ways. The transition to medicine meant a new and rewarding area for him and we were not surprised at his passion and success in it. Many different members of our family were helped with his advice and expertise. It was a shock to learn of his passing. We send our sincere condolences to Jane, Mark, Leslie and all his family.

Dear Jane and family - it seems that the years move on so quickly It doesn’t seem like so long ago we were at a medical conference in Phoenix. I remember Bruce being so keen to learn and help John with so many operations when he first started at Rockyview. His dedication will be remembered by his many colleagues and patients in the Calgary community. A sad and untimely loss for many who were close to Bruce. Thinking of you with sincere sympathy…..
Kathryn (Dr. John V.M. McGrath)
Bruce was an extremely kind , egalitarian man and a very capable physician. It was a pleasure to work with him during his time at the Rockyview Hospital.
I am very sorry for your loss.
Dr Susan Sutton
We were very sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Bruce. He was an amazing person to work with and always ready to jump into new and different things. His authorship of the company Christmas party skits and musicals was outstanding. He really brought everyone together and everyone had a great time. He also was fully invested in his parts including the classic Swan Lake routine with Gary and Tom. (We found some videos during our recent office move, and if you want them, we can get them to you.)
Our whole family would like to extend our condolences to your family and we are thinking of you a lot.
The Ray and Peggy Price family.
My condolences to the Allan family:
I was a patient of Dr. Allan's. He was thoughtful, kind, caring, and collaborative; a truly exceptional doctor and person.
May he rest in peace.
Alba Apuzzo
There really are no words to describe this loss. Rest easy, Bruce.
Gary and I both worked with Bruce many years ago, before he began his second career as a physician. He was a wonderful colleague with a great sense of humour and we had a lot of fun at work. My fondest memories are from our lip sync competitions at the annual company Christmas party. Bruce, along with Bill, Mike S, Debbie, Dave and I laughed until we cried as we practiced our singing and dance moves. Mark, Leslie and Jane, we are so sorry for your loss and we hope that all the wonderful memories you have of Bruce will help ease the pain of losing him way too soon.
Gary and Joanne Briggs
I remember Bruce first as a resident, and then as a much valued colleague.
One incident when he was a resident showed me not just his ability, which was exceptional, but his class as a person.
Later he was willing to share his unique knowledge and experience in cosmetic gynaecology, with which I was better enabled to help my patients.
I will remember him fondly.
