Deeply saddened to hear of Krish's passing. I remember the day I met Krish - my first day of work at Sherrit in Brian's office. Krish had come to present the Union's case on some issue and Brian took the opportunity to introduce us and show me how things are done at Sherritt - with respect for each other's viewpoints and humanity. As the HR newbie I was impressed! Over the years, I worked a lot with Krish through good times and tough times. I used to think I had a tough job trying to keep management and union happy, but I could see that Krish had a tougher job representing employees to the fullest, while maintaining a working relationship with management in order to get the best deal. Krish spoke proudly of his family - the success of his sons Muthu and Arun, which he attributed to Geetha's intelligence and amazing skills as a mother. Krish understood his responsibility as Chief Steward deeply; employees will never know how tough he was to deal with! I had the pleasure of meeting Muthu as a summer student at Sherritt, and Geetha over dinner a few times. Relationships were important to Krish and I was glad that he contacted me from time to time in retirement to say hello. My heart goes out to Muthu, Arun, Geetha and Krish's family during this sad time. - Lori Klingbeil
