Condolences
Tito Jimmy, we will miss you. I will always remember you for your laugh and your smile, and fortunately for me you gave both of those to your kids, so I can think of you whenever I see Migs' smile or hear Maggie's laugh. Love you.
Submitted in behalf of John Gonzalez, a very good friend of Jimmy:
"Growing up in our neighborhood back then, we had quite a number of kids-the little ones trying to hang out with the older group…Jimmy was one those little ones together with my younger brother who wear in the same age group! We knew each other pretty well in that regard…but late last year, we really hit it off after Danita Reyes (lived closer to me) mentioned him …and so started a renewed relationship-this time, more in depth! We would reminisce on the Lopez’s then the Gicas’s , the Ordonas and the Librons…it went on and on…he being younger gave me the nuanced happenings after I left the old neighborhood to work elsewhere…that was great since I never went back there to live…so all these changes he noted for me could have easily slipped my consciousness! Thanks to Jim, he sorta filled me in on most of the blanks…there were just under a hundred kids in that circle of homes located in a big loop! We had a lot to talk about…last message I got from him was late October…then silence ! Up until I saw a message of condolences…I feel a deep emptiness when confirmation finally came in…I still do when I recall our conversations."
Uncle laughed at every joke I ever said as a kid. They were all cringey, but it always made me feel good when he laughed. I’m much older now, and the jokes have gotten worse - but I can’t wait to tell him all of it….thank you for everything Uncle.
