Condolences
Murdie and I were very sorry to hear of Phyllis death…we sent an email about a month ago…hoping to get together with you both
She guided me (Maureen) as a retread nurse on Unit 11 in 1982…she was a respected head nurse…sensible, fair knowledgeable…one incident that stands out in my memory….there were a number of us retread nurses who hadn’t started an IV for many years…she took a couple of us into the service room and put her arm out …we relearned by doing!
Over the years we enjoyed many visits in Kananaskis…became friends. …Will miss her

Sorry to hear of Phyllis’s death. I knew her through the neuroscience nurses. She was a great mentor for all of us and a willing volunteer when needed. We reconnected in Cochrane and it was a pleasure to see her enjoying retirement. She lived a good life and was an inspiration to many.

We were so sorry to read the Eagle this week and receive the news of Phyllis’s passing. Phyllis was such a wonderful and kind person who will be missed by many. My memories of Phyllis mostly revolve around the time she volunteered at the Clothesline and we were so lucky to have her there. She had a great sense of humor and was a great asset to the store. To Bob and all the family our most sincere condolences!
Phyl will be dearly missed by her pool pals at the old pool and now Spray Lakes. Phyl always had interesting stories to share, mainly about her beloved family eg baking she was doing for the grandchildren, the crossword puzzles she did in the mornings, and how she disliked the muscle oblique exercises our Aquafit instructor asked us to do. Her quick wit brought many smiles to our faces.
I particularly enjoyed our conversations in the change room as our lockers were often close to each other. From time to time I would bring her a little bottle of Baileys for her coffee. She was our go-to nurse when we had ‘nursey’ questions.
Phyl was a wonderful and kind friend. I bought one of her pictures that she painted, that I will always treasure.
I hope she gets a chance to practice her oblique exercises as we all knew which ‘spot’ was hers in the pool.
Love to all her family.

My mother, Anne (Ruddy) Lozinski, was saddened to hear of Phyllis’ passing. She reminded me how they had gone to high school at Red Deer Composite in the early 1950s and that they had graduated in the same class. Because we live in a small world, in 1978 the Wardle family came into my life – years since my mother had seen or talked to Phyllis. Phyllis’ daughter Jerry became my roommate and ‘big sister’ - a relationship I cherish to this day. I remember Phyllis who, with a twinkle in her eye, would tell us to behave ourselves. I truly believed that her ‘stick’ had a nail in it! My most recent memory of her was when I stopped by her home to pick up her recipe for Maple Fudge. I know I probably don’t do it justice, but every once in a while I try to replicate this delicious confection. She was positive, kind and a lovely person. My family extends their condolences to Bob, Jerry, Kelly and the entire Wardle clan. I know you will share the good, happy memories with each other through telling the wonderful stories Phyllis enjoyed. She will be sorely missed by all of us lucky to have our lives enriched by her presence.
Our Love goes out to Kelly, Kristy & the entire family.
May the memory's of your Mother's Love be a Blessing you hold in your Heart Forever.
Your mother's fabulous and generous baking, oh so "delicious" I enjoyed. A reminder of what matters, "family". Now these memories are Cherished forever.
Love Wendi & Brent
My heart goes out to the entire Wardle family. I had the pleasure of spending my Tuesdays at paint class with Phylis and laughed so hard on those days at her stories she always brought about her family & her adventures in life. I’m laughing now as I read knowing the stick story and the pleasure & pride she had for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her sense of humor & continued spirit for life is something I strive for because of her. Turning 50 soon and thinking of trying down hill skiing because Phylis told me she learned at 50. She was so loved & enjoyed by everyone that had the greatest opportunity to meet her. She will be missed in my heart as well. Much love and happy memories of her to all of the Wardle Family. One of the brightest and kindest forces of nature I have known. I will not only miss her sharp-witted conversations, but her numerous inspiring stories based on a life well-lived. Phyllis' passion for art was inspiring and left a legacy that will continue to grow with her great-grandchildren.
